Putting It Together

See Our Video:

March for Jesus is a public demonstration of the diverse body of Jesus Christ coming together to express our love for Him, and one another, while declaring that He alone is worthy of our extravagant praise.

During our event, we do not bring tangible offerings like sheep or goats (of course not) …not even cash. Nevertheless, we show value as we bring our efforts to make the March for Jesus an event that Jesus will celebrate. As we demonstrate love for Him by doing what needs to be done to give our best offering of thanksgiving and praise it becomes our sacrifice. Each person or congregation can do that by doing something to help make March for Jesus a wonderful offering.

Below is a list of things that can be done in the congregation and beyond by volunteering to help in the needed areas.

  1. Church Contact: Pastors, we have found it helpful if you ask a trusted member to be your contact person for MFJ. While we want you to stay informed, you do not need to over taxed with March for Jesus strategy sessions. If you are not a pastor, ask your pastor if you can be the “Church Contact person. As church contact you will help inform and promote the MFJ.
  2. As a congregation you can organize within your church by sharing this list of needs with the congregation and encouraging the to attendance . Download the brochure and poster and make copies and give brochures to the congregation, friends and family, and place posters in convenient areas. Please set apart 5 minutes to show our video.
  3. Finances: The main source of finance for the MFJ is from our T-shirts. Please consider a purchase and promote the T-shirt store to others.
  4. Praise Banners and Flags: Flags and banners are encouraged. No issue statements or self identifying banners will be allowed. Only praises and thanksgiving.
  5. As to banners I have found a very reasonable custom banner maker. A Bannerbuzz 2’x3′ one sided banner is only $12 plus shipping. To get to Bannerbuzz click here. I included a video on how to design your video below.
  6. Come Together: May I suggest, Meeting at your church and coming together to avoid parking problems. Also, If your congregation is not already committed to participate, fill out the form below and let us know you are coming. It will be a big help in our planning and a encouragement.
  7. Praise and Group Leaders: On March day we will need Praise leaders and Group leaders. These help keep the continuity and spirit of the procession.
  8. We are asking those who have golf carts and can bring them, to volunteer to drive to help those who want to March but may have challenges. This must be coordinated with the organizer. Please contact him if you are able to do this.
  9. Photographers: You do not have to be professional, just enjoy taking pictures and videos. Having a drone operator that would be great… but only very experienced please.
  10. Drivers: We will have 3-5 vehicles set up to transport the music for our procession. These will be fitted with sound systems. SUVs or Pickups will work best. A pickup will need a platform built to raise the speakers.
  11. First Aid: We would like to have a few folks who are qualified as “First Responders” and band aid assistants. There should be a Florence County EMS ambulance on standby, but we would like double coverage.
  12. Security: The Florence County Sheriff’s office will provide security, however having extra eyes and coverage will be helpful. Please contact the organizer if interested.

Please remember to let us know if you are planning on your church participating by filling out the contact form.
